Interviewing your child carer
We normally recommend setting up first interviews with your chosen candidates, without the children present. After this, we suggest, where possible, that the nanny meets your children, and family as part of the second interview. We will make all the necessary arrangements, as well as provide advice on how to interview your nanny, if required.
Continued support
Once you have employed your child carer we work with you to ensure a smooth placement within your family. We will continue to stay in contact to ensure that your employee settles into their role.

Placement Fees
These are once – off agency / placement fees. These fees do not include the amount payable to the chosen candidate for their time and services.
The once – off placement fee is payable once and if you decide to hire one of our candidates. No fee is payable for just interviewing our candidates.
The placement fee will be payable on receipt of the invoice.

How To Avoid Domestic Helper Scams:
When you’re looking to hire a helper, nanny, or caregiver, you HAVE to do your due diligence — it’s non-negotiable.
Why?
Well, it’s kind of obvious, wouldn’t you say?…
… Whether they’re stay-in or stay-out, your helper will have unfiltered access to your home and all your belongings. That’s more than half of your life, and a lot of everything you’ve worked your butt off to achieve and acquire.
Allowing a stranger that level of access to your life should NEVER be taken lightly. Many domestic agencies in South Africa forego thorough background checks and vetting processes for their talent, which puts you at huge risk when you’re looking to hire some help.
Royal Helpers Agency has taken all this into consideration and, as a result, crafted a vetting process that never lets their clients down.
Verification Process
Background Check
Royal Helpers Agency runs tough reference checks, experience verification, previous employment confirmation & personal background checks on all Helpers before they are qualified and made available for placement.
These checks are done and repeated at different levels of the Helper’s joining process. Only those that pass the different screening levels make it through to placement, others are disqualified. When a Helper is hired from RHA, the Helper’s full profile is made available to the employer upon hiring.
Criminal Record Check
Criminal records can be legally verified in South Africa using a set of digitally captured fingerprints. Royal Helpers Agency uses MIE’s fingerprint systems to capture and submit fingerprints that are checked against the SAPS database to determine whether a candidate has a criminal record or not.
The verification process takes an average time of one day (24h). All Royal Helpers go through this process.
Qualification Verification
Where applicable Royal Helpers Center verifies qualifications such as Matric qualifications (post 1992), short-courses, certificates, diplomas, degrees, honours, masters, doctorates and PhDs directly against academic databanks that are held by authority boards including Umalusi, SETA and the National Qualification Register.
This verification is done on request for specific roles where it is important to run a qualification verification.
ID Verification
Royal Helpers identity verification includes checks like ID verification, ID validation, citizenship check, passport validation, visa verification, as well as similar checks relating to temporary or permanent residence permits, asylum seeker or refugee status. This is also done on request.
